Die Römer kannten ja Alkohol und Opium. Ich habe aber auch bei Plinius (NH 20, 199ff) nur gefunden, dass man bei Überdosierung zwar von Opium stirbt, aber nicht, dass man davon abhängig wird. Auch Scribonius Largus sagt nur, was bei Überdosierung hilft (Comp. 179).
"alkoholabhängig" würden die Römer wohl als "vinolentus" übersetzen.
Habe noch etwas entdeckt:
"fruatur aliquis pariter cum aliis
voluptate potandi aut, ne sobrius in violentiam vinolentorum incidat, ante discedat." (Cic, Tusc, 5, 118)
